Zanzibar is located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Tanzania mainland, it is composed of two major islands Unguja and Pemba and other 50 small islands. The country, has successfully achieved lower-middle income status, alongside improvements in life expectancy, gross school enrolment and access to clean water among others (ZDV50, 2020).
